Botox (USA)

Botox® is the purified form of Botulinum toxin Type A, which is a natural bacteria by-product, approved by the US Federal Drug Administration in 1989, and used for medical purposes for over 14 years. These are “Botox” products from China, Korea and France. ARC uses ONLY the USA Botox® from Allergen Corp.

How does it work?
Botox® relaxes certain facial muscles leaving the overlaying skin smooth and unwrinkled. The advantage of Botox® is that specific facial areas can be treated and other surrounding facial muscles are left to function as usual, producing normal facial expressions without wrinkles.

What can I expect after my treatment?
Results are visible five to seven days after the injection. Look younger with dramatically softened facial wrinkles and expression lines, leaving overlying skin smooth and free of wrinkles and lines. Lifted eyebrows open up the eyes for more youthful, revitalized appearance.

How long will it last?
One advantage of Botox® is that it is temporary (the effects last for about four to six months) so you can decide if the results suit you. Then repeat the treatment as regularly as you wish, increasing the number of facial areas you want to treat. Clinical studies show the duration of effect increases over time so you may require less frequent injections in future to maintain the result you choose.

What treatment do I have to undergo?
Treatment takes about ten minutes and depending on the size of the area that you wish to treat. It is a simple, non-surgical procedure of a small injection, up to 4 per area, that is quick and effective.

Will it hurt?
Many patients describe the injection as similar to an ant bite sting. This non-invasive, non-surgical procedure is requires no recovery period and you can resume normal activities immediately.

Is it safe?
Use of Botox® is approved by various medical associations around the world. It is commonly used by movie stars and celebrities. Common side effects that may be experienced are tenderness or bruising at injection site, temporary weakness in nearby muscles such as drooping of eyelid or eyebrow for a one to two weeks’ duration.
